NZ ART GUILD
COLLABORATIVE PROJECT 2008 this is not a commercial for products advertised although it is good products on the left...O^
I had the brief to paint on RED background- so therefor i made the bold statement and worked with thick strokes, dots, and overlays of colours to give more textures..EXRTREMELY expressionistic - what fun..cant wait to see the 90 pieces together . It would be made into a giant painting and will be auctioned off ( most probably TRADEME NZ) Proceeds will go to charity.

HEAVEN AND EARTH The Poem by Sharon Ann Burger
HEAVEN AND EARTH
the still salty water washes
over me and you
the continual movement
brings healing
a written testimony
a witness unto Eternal Glory
it holds the secrets of
Past and Future
Heaven and Earth
like a letter sealed untill Time unfolds it
even your time, now
He did not consider Equality with God something to be grasped, but made Himself nothing....to give us ALL....His All
Hope
Love
Peace
Joy
forever
the still salty water washes
over me and you
the continual movement
brings healing
a written testimony
a witness unto Eternal Glory
it holds the secrets of
Past and Future
Heaven and Earth
like a letter sealed untill Time unfolds it
even your time, now
He did not consider Equality with God something to be grasped, but made Himself nothing....to give us ALL....His All
Hope
Love
Peace
Joy
forever
HEAVEN AND EARTH by Sharon Ann Burger
OIL ON CANVAS
painted for the 2007 NZ ART GUILD theme: COOL BLUE EQUALITY
I chose my theme to explain to the viewer the testimony of Gods power shown through Jesus Christ to this earth and Heaven..This is a theme that has so many depths or riches displayed and can be elaborated into more paintings..The earth, water, the blood of Christ is an eternal testimony to the Son of God who came to Earth: to live and die and also rose again for all mankind..this seems like foolishness to mankind- the natural mind does not understand it- its hidden message is actaully exposed even in the elements of water..forever.Read Phillipians 2.4. He left the "comfort" of Heaven to be a humble servant even unto death. Ask the question to yourself: Who is Jesus? and Himself will answer you if you really mean it.
